Virtual Assemblies
If an in-person visit can’t be arranged, why not try an interactive Virtual Assembly?
Using Microsoft Teams, we’ll cover similar content to an in-person Motivational Talk, just adapted for a virtual experience.
This can be a quick, effective way to engage multiple classes and year groups, without the hassle of organising a day off timetable.

FAQs
How long does a Virtual Assembly last?
To ensure a comfortable, impactful virtual experience, a standard Virtual Assembly lasts 20-30 minutes. Extended 40-50 minute versions are available too.
What does a Virtual Assembly cover?
Topics include:
Why Languages: Discussing the value of languages, sharing my personal journey from disinterested learner to working for Arsenal FC for 11 years, using my languages to travel the world and work with high profile players
Careers Presentation: Exploring exciting jobs in the football industry and beyond where language skills would be useful
Is it just for football fans?
Not at all. Obviously, after working for Arsenal FC for 11 years, many of my anecdotes relate to the football world, which not only links brilliantly to languages, but is also a proven engagement tool for many, many pupils - especially those who might not normally engage with MFL. That said, absolutely no assumed knowledge of football is required to benefit from any session, and most of the content is completely transferrable to other industries.
How many pupils can take part?
For a Virtual Assembly, you can have as many pupils as you like, from as many classes within your school. We can also cater for Multi Academy Trusts.
How much does it cost?
There are various Virtual Assembly packages available, so please complete the form above to discuss your needs and obtain a quote.
How does it work?
I will set up a virtual appointment on Microsoft Teams and share all the relevant joining information with the teacher leading the booking. Pupils remain in their classes and their respective class teacher will be responsible for joining the session. There will be opportunities for interaction and to ask questions through Microsoft Teams. You will receive more detailed information alongside your quote.
What if my school doesn’t use Microsoft Teams?
No problem, we can work around that. You will receive more detailed information alongside your quote.
Which regions can join a Virtual Assembly?
The beauty of a Virtual Assembly is that schools from all over the world can take part, timezones permitting!
I’m a PE teacher, could you talk to pupils about the football industry only?
Absolutely. I’ve delivered many talks about the football industry: how clubs operate behind the scenes, psychology, media, sponsorship, jobs in football and much more. Those were normally aimed at pupils studying GCSE Sports Studies, but could be tailored to any group.
